The Metaverse Tunisian Summit, or shortly the MTS, is a 3-day national summit focused on emerging technologies, including Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, XR technologies, Blockchain, Gaming, and NFTs. 

The first edition of the MTS was a real masterstroke, bringing together more than 300 participants, and marking a decisive step in Tunisia. It was the very first of its kind, dedicated to the technologies of the metaverse, blockchain, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), NFTs, and much more. 

The second edition was even more grandiose. More than 400 attendees were present during the event and assisted engaging keynote sessions, innovative panel discussions, technical workshops, a startup fair, a hackathon, and a wealth of opportunities to explore the latest technological advancements in the metaverse, blockchain, VR, AR, Web3, and NFTs. 

The industry’s brightest minds, experts, content creators, game developers, entrepreneurs, and visionaries came together from all over the world to explore the endless opportunities offered by the Metaverse, providing an invaluable experience for all 400 participants of this second edition. 

The event took place on the 24th, 5th, and 26th of November 2023 in “Diar Lemdina”, a 5-star hotel in Yasmine Hammamet, Nabeul Governorate (Tunisia), and tackled emerging technologies namely: Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, XR technologies, Blockchain, Gaming and NFTs. 

The Summit was organized by our very own IEEE SMU Student Branch, along with the IEEE SUPCOM Student Branch, and many other partners and sponsors.
