IEEE Tunisia Section belongs to the IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and aims to represent as well as promote IEEE Activities and Membership in Tunisia by developing educational and technical activities, human networking, and by developing technology and its applications for humanitarian challenges.
The IEEE Tunisia Section counts 5000+ active members and is one of the most active Sections in Region 8.
- IEEE SMU Student Branch, founded in 2021, seeks to develop the technical and non-technical skills of SMU students by offering a variety of activities, all with the aim of Advancing Technology for the Benefit of Humanity.
- IEEE SMU Student Branch counts 100+ active student members and student volunteers.
- In 2021, it obtained the Outstanding Small Student Branch Award by the IEEE Tunisia Section.
