Who can join IEEE SMU Student Branch?
IEEE SMU Student Branch is exclusively for students enrolled at South Mediterranean University. You must be an active SMU student to join and participate in our activities. To become a member, you'll need to register for IEEE student membership at ieee.org and then join our local SMU branch.
What are the benefits of joining IEEE SMU?

Which technical chapters can I join?
We have five technical chapters: RAS (Robotics & Automation), CS (Computer Society), PES (Power & Energy), EMBS (Engineering in Medicine & Biology), IAS (Industry Applications), and one affinity group: WIE (Women in Engineering). You can join multiple chapters based on your interests and attend their specialized events and workshops.
How can I get involved or join the committee?
We welcome passionate students to join our team! Committee recruitment typically happens at the beginning of each academic year. You can apply for positions in events coordination, technical teams, media & marketing, HR, or administrative roles. Contact us or follow our social media for recruitment announcements.
