IEEE SMU Student Branch was officially established at South Mediterranean University in Tunis, Tunisia with a mission to advance technology for the benefit of humanity.

Within our first year, IEEE SMU Student Branch was honored with the Tunisia Section Outstanding Small Student Branch Award, recognizing our early impact.
IEEE RAS Chapter Launched
Launched the Robotics and Automation Society chapter, focusing on learning and educating about robotics and automation theories, technologies, and projects.
IEEE CS Chapter Launched
Established the Computer Society chapter, advancing technical skills in computer science-related technologies including competitive programming, data science, and web development.
IEEE Region 8 Exemplary Student Branch Award
Awarded the Exemplary Student Branch recognition by IEEE Region 8 for excellence in activities and member engagement.
IEEE WIE Affinity Group Launched
Established Women In Engineering affinity group, creating a vibrant community using talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity.

IEEE PES Chapter Launched
Established the Power & Energy Society chapter, becoming a leading provider of scientific and engineering information on electric power and energy.
